About Dwarka:-Dwarka is spread over an area of about 5648 hectares, 20% of which will be maintained as green, resulting in the availability of 15 square meters per person for green space and recreation. Which is in no way inferior to any city, sub city in India. The modern city of Dwarka is located in the Jamnagar District of Gujarat. The city lies in the western most part of India. The sacred town of Dwarka is one of the four holy pilgrimages of Hindus (Char Dham) in India. Jamnagar, which is located at a distance of about 135 km, is the nearest airport that links Dwarka with rest of the country through air. Indian Airlines operate regular flights Jamnagar with Mumbai. Nearness to Indira Gandhi airport and dearness to the DDA will no doubt make the city an international city, a worth living city. Dwarka is not only famous in India, but in entire world. In order to meet the demand of the tourist there are many projects of hotels are been undertaken, but till date there has been no plans put forward for a resort or holiday club near beach area.
Beach development by tourism of Gujarat & Reliance Industries
Chief Minister Mr. Narendra Modi is taking special and personal interest with the support of Reliance Industries Ltd, for development of okha-Madhi beach as a world class beach so as to make Beach Special tourist place for foreign visitors. The development of beaches is being taken up under the state government's ambitious 'Sagarkhedu' project. Government of Gujarat already declared about Rs.90 crores for this project and project is in development. Also on this beach area Gujarat government is thinking to give permission of alcohols permit rooms for comfort of foreign tourists.
